This chapter will further explore the complexity of our language by introducing a second set of key phrasal modifiers: prepositional phrases. Prepositional phrases include a preposition and a nominal object of the preposition.
Prepositional phrases function primarily adjectivally or adverbially and fit into these FUNCTION SLOTS as phrases.
